Wednesday rule of style

Today I am announcing new every-other Wednesday series: rules of styles...Yay! :-)

Yesterday I started on a major closet clean-up and realized that I have so many clothes, yet many of them has been barely worn! I believe this is the story of many of us. Coincidentally or not, most of the items that I barely wear - if at all, are just spur-of the moment not-so-great qualify purchases. So here I am in need of basic stylish rules to finally get my wardrobe into order.
At my age, 32, I feel like I am not going to get away with a wardrobe full of cheap mediocre quality clothes. While I don't advocate to start spending on high-priced designers and amass a debt by doing that, I simply rather hold on on acquiring not so good quality pieces until I can afford a quality one. I am not quite talking Chanel wardrobe here either, because there are many more affordable brands offering great qualify. Plus I do believe money can be also well spent on cheaper brands. The point is to start focusing on acquiring few great pieces.

With that comes rule number one: Do not buy cheap clothes that you will wear only once.

So with this in mind I am setting up on a new adventure: finding beautiful lasting quality pieces even if the price tag is bit on the higher end. Stay tuned!

And here are just few images/links of online stores/brands that I love purchasing from:

Shopbop
Club Monaco
Emerson Fry
Soul-Sister

  1. I agree, better to buy classics that are of better quality. Although I must say that more trendier items I tend to buy from high street stores. I love mixing and matching high end with high street. :)
