How a man decided to save the earth?

I have this great opportunity of visiting antique/art shows here in San Francisco from time to time. It's always such an incredible inspiring fun to experience these events where the art dealers and the shoppers meet and mingle. This weekend San Francisco hosted one of these great shows - a perfect mix of antiques and beautiful contemporary art. There were so many items I wish I had the resources to buy...Well, maybe one day!

One of my favorite pieces was the imposing and mystical work of Robert and Shana ParkerHarrison. For lack of a better term I say their 'photographs' had me mesmerized, but one should understand that the production of these pieces is more complex than just a photo snapshat: it's a combination of an old photography technique 'photogravure', collage, painting and even stage-art... The result are incredible images of a man who seem to be on the daunting task of saving or 'fixing' our planet earth. You can see him in his suit filling a small place in the imposing landscapes trying to preserve what has been left from our planet. These two color images are full of conscious story telling and mystic reality. It seems that his work is almost impossible, but his determination is truly inspiring.. Spectacular work!
