I live in San Francisco. You know... the city from movies with steep hills and a beautiful red bridge. It is truly a remarkable city I grew to love.
But there is one thing here I am only so so about: San Francisco caters to a casual look. This is a city of corporate meetings in flip-flops, start-up jean culture, and geek overly intelligent attitudes. Yet I LOVE high heels and have somewhat of an ingrained abhorrence against flats. It's so hard to wear high stilettos on a daily basis here, just if one considers walking up those hills. Plus I am 5'5" and somehow I feel I don't exurb my full confidence if I don't have at least a few inch heel. Silly! :-) So I go to go for compromises. Wedges has been a saver lately and now I feel like I found the perfect brand for strolling around San Francisco ... a Spanish brand COCLICO. I just bought a beautiful wedges in a cute San Francisco boutique - Onyx (they seem not to have a website: 22nd & Valencia for those around here) And it looks like they have an online great selection as well. I am sold!
These are my summer casual inspirations that would go great with my new wedges. Simple tops, casual comfy one colored dresses, shorts... Remember, summer in San Francisco is not about incredibly hot days! You got to carry a blazer, sweater or at least a scarf. After the sun is gone, you will use it!
Even rain is not entirely unusual in summer months here. This is great outfit. Earth tone pinkish sweater and a skirt and instead of the stilletos I can wear my new wedges...
They will be amazing with my white dress. I have a short one, but am loving the below one...
