Orange fashion...

One of the major reasons I started this blog is to get more exposure to and knowledge about art, hence today I am back to posting about art..

Arne Quinze has been on my mind lately.

Image from "Cities Like Open Air Museums" installation...
Arne is the epitome of grandioze beautiful public & large scale art creations. His intention is to engage onlookers when viewing (or better to say 'experiencing' his art) by reviving our social interactions and by experiencing and acknowledging our emotions in response to his art while sparking a conversation (even among strangers). Because what are we without interactions with other human beings?  His large scale installations are full of movement and are eye-catching and strikingly beautiful in their movement.... I am in awe of his large scale orange installations that seem like bridges to our dreams and imaginations.

Also not to forget his social awareness translates into his use of materials. Arne uses metal, concret, wood and fluorescent paint. All the wood is sustainable cut wood (for every tree cut, a new one is plant) and is reused after his sculptures are taken apart.

"There are two types of sculptures: Sculptures only big qua size or sculptures having a real public function in the communal domain. I consider it my personal struggle to realize as many interesting public sculptures as possible. Cities like open-air museums, sounds like realizing my ultimate dream; a confrontation with the public surrounded by art every day." Arne Quinze.

Should not fashion carry similar motive of dreams and beautiful imaginations? Do try out orange to live up your dreams...Plus orange is such a summer color; it looks amazing on tan skin...
